i guess i spent half of my day messaging with rui ping. and i dont get bored messaging her cuz of the way we communicate cant really stop, so many things to talk beyond things that are
"talkable".
i'd rather be off talkin to her all day then talkin to a boring person that can piss me off within a second. a fraction of a mili-second maybe. haha!
and since got nth to write for this lazy sunday, i wanna write about what i wanna be when i grow up. back in sec school, my life long dream was to become an archaeologist. digging up the past around the world. that really interest me up to now. thats my third choice of my dream job. i wont mind spending all day just digging up bricks or bones, i find it interesting and fun! all those shows on discovery got that grip on me. i never lose interest in History and i loved it so much. whats more, i'm so captivated by Greek's myths and legend, Alexander etc etc all the way to celtic ruins to King Arthur's time. which till now no one can really prove that era existed ever at all. take for example dragons, they're a myth now, long gone in our minds. there's no living proof dragons ever existed. but how do we explain the stories about knights fighting with dragons and drawings that existed in those era's? and dragons didnt exist just in the east, but in the western side too. those chinese dragons. the contrast is that eastern people viewed dragons as evil whereas the eastern chinese people prayed and respected it like a god. a high status figure as the emperor himself.
some find this boring but i find such stuff interesting and it can really capture my attention and imagination.
second dream job, take care of animals in zoo. i really admire the people who feeds the animals and take care of them, play with them. it's all so interesting. i love animals more then i love humans! and if i could, i wanna work at spca one day. care for the abandoned pets. i dont mind doing such chores at all. =)
but my first dream job is to travel around the world, just like ian wright on globe trekker. i wanna see different parts of the world thru my own eyes. the feeling is way way different from watching tv at home. you get to walk around that different part of the world, you engage in different festive cultures, different foods, and you'll surely have stories to tell. its all so amazing to see different perspective of the world. and i wont mind travelling alone, staying at cheap motels. i get to live in different types of lives and meet lots of people. i love that. just thinking that i'm at a cliff overviewing a mountain, with its cold wind blowing towards me, surrounded in the lush greenery. instead of being trapped in singapore where all you can do to the max is just at pulau ubin.
ok better stop.. feel like its an essay. its been a while since i last wrote such a long entry. i wish either of these jobs will come true for me in the future. =D
